We had an absolutely magical stay at La Lancha. The views from our suite were breathtaking and the privacy and serenity of the surroundings made it a truly peaceful retreat. The sunrise tour of Tikal led by archaeologist Antonio was an incredible experience. Not only did we get to explore the ancient site, but we also spotted amazing wildlife with Antonio's expert guidance. The staff at La Lancha were attentive, going above and beyond with little touches like packed breakfasts and refreshing allspice tea. The lake was stunning and the Temazcal experience followed by a refreshing swim was a highlight. The only downside was the simple vegetarian options on the menu, but the food was still delicious. I highly recommend La Lancha for a memorable and unforgettable stay.

We stayed at a lovely hotel near the Tikal ruins. The location was perfect, only an hour away from Tikal and Yaxha. The rooms were excellent, and the staff provided wonderful service. We enjoyed the delicious local dishes on the menu and the outstanding food. The small property made for an intimate and cozy atmosphere.
The hotel was a bit remote and there was nothing around the hotel to explore.

I recently stayed at this amazing hotel on the North side of lake Peten Itzá and I couldn't recommend it more. The location is simply breathtaking, surrounded by nature and with stunning views of the lake. The staff, especially Mr. Tony, were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One of the highlights was discovering hidden spots like the lookout point with sofas and a king size bed, perfect for relaxation while enjoying the beautiful lake and bird sounds. The funicular that takes you down to the lake was a unique experience. My lake view suite was incredible, with a balcony and hammocks to fully immerse myself in the tranquility. La Lancha is the ideal base for exploring the archeological sites of Peten, and coming back to this beautiful property after a busy day was a true pleasure. I can't wait to return on my next trip to Peten.

The service at this hotel was exceptional, better than most 5-star hotels. The staff were friendly, treated well, and genuinely enjoyed their job. The rooms were tastefully decorated with local materials and had heavenly porches to sit and listen to birdsong. The location of the hotel was key, as it allowed easy access to Tikal and other nearby attractions. The food was great, with delicious meals and thoughtful touches like cookies made from local tree seeds.
The vegetarian options on the menu were simple and a bit pricey. The pictures of the hotel online didn't do justice to the beautifully maintained rooms.
